Shirodhara
Shirodhara — a slow, continuous stream of warm medicated oil poured across the forehead — is Kerala's best-known signature therapy, and the single most requested treatment among international guests dealing with stress, poor sleep or migraine.

How Shirodhara works
You lie comfortably while warm oil streams steadily from a suspended vessel onto your forehead (the 'third eye' point) for around 30-45 minutes, followed by a short head massage. The oil temperature and base (warming or cooling) are selected based on whether your pattern is more Vata (anxious, restless) or Pitta (hot, inflamed, migraine-type).

Yes, expect oily hair afterwards — most guests shower and wash their hair an hour or two after the session, once the oil has had time to absorb.
Is Shirodhara safe for high blood pressure?
Generally considered calming and often beneficial, but disclose any cardiovascular condition during consultation so temperature and duration can be adjusted.
How many sessions before I notice a difference?
Many guests feel calming effects immediately, with a sustained effect typically needing 7-14 consecutive daily sessions.
